WEEE & RoHS Directives...

WEEE stands for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment and is a Directive aimed at reducing electrical waste, increasing recovery, recycling and minimising environmental impact.

RoHS stands for Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment and applies to products that are covered under the WEEE Directive. It will control the use of hazardous substances during manufacture.

These two Directives will affect all of us after July 2007 in both our personal and business life. We will be playing our part in the recovery and recycling of electrical waste in line with the Government’s guidelines.
